One night is one night
Most rentals on the Côte de Beaune insist on two or three nights, and a full week in season. Not here: a single night is booked like any other, at the same price, €105 for two and €115 for three or four, with everything included: cleaning, bed linen, towels, tourist tax, wifi, parking.
You arrive from 2 pm: Véronique welcomes you, hands over the keys and shows you round the house. You leave the next day by 10 am.
On the road
The ideal stopover on the A6, between Paris and Lyon
Meursault is 8 km from exit 24.1, Beaune-Sud (Hospices), on the A6 motorway, via the RD 974 towards Chalon-sur-Saône: a quarter of an hour from the toll booth. Paris is a little over three hours away, Lyon an hour and a half, the Mediterranean four and a half hours.
It is the alternative to the motorway hotel: fifteen minutes from the exit, a stone village house, a kitchen for a quiet dinner, a courtyard, free parking and the silence of the vines. The next morning you set off again rested, after a detour via the bakery, 300 metres away.

What can you do in a single night in Meursault?

Put down your bags, park the car on site, and take time to get to know the house: living room and kitchen on the ground floor, bedroom and bathroom upstairs, private courtyard.
- In the afternoonThe village and its cellars
The Château de Meursault opens its cellars every day, with a tasting of up to eight wines. The church of Saint-Nicolas and its stone spire, the place de l’Hôtel de Ville, the winegrowers’ streets: everything is on foot.
- Late afternoonA ride through the vines
The cottage’s four bicycles are waiting: the Voie des Vignes starts in the village. Towards Volnay and Pommard to the north, towards Puligny-Montrachet to the south, an hour is enough to get a sense of where you are.
- In the eveningDinner, a short walk away
A village bistro, a wine bar opening onto the vines or fine dining: several addresses are a few minutes’ walk from the cottage. Book before you arrive; they are often full.
- In the morningBreakfast delivered, then the road
The restaurant L'Épisode delivers breakfast to the cottage if you let them know the day before; otherwise, the bakery is 300 m away. Departure by 10 am. Beaune and its Hospices, open from 9 am, are a quarter of an hour away if you want to linger.
